Racism, systems of oppression, and trauma. On June 8, 2020, the ARC co-developers released a statement on racism, systems of oppression, and trauma. The statement can be found here .

Caregiver tips videos: We have added three new videos specifically for caregivers. These videos address affect management and self care for caregivers, building attunement, and developing effective trauma-informed responses with children and adolescents. These videos are available for a small fee here .

New ARC telehealth resources: we have added a number of resources for providers who are working via telehealth. These resources, including implementation considerations, may be found on this page .

The National Child Traumatic Stress Network has developed a guide to support caregivers and families in understanding and responding to their children about Coronavirus outbreaks in their area. This free resource is available here.

Colleagues in West Virginia have published outcome data from their school-based intervention efforts. The Trauma-Informed Elementary Schools (TIES) program, an innovative approach based on ACES research and the ARC framework, provides training and support to classrooms. We are pleased to share the final report for the evaluation of the ARC Reflections pilot!  This evaluation was conducted by Child Trends, an independent agency funded by the Duke Endowment to evaluate the roll out of ARC Reflections in 5 counties in North Carolina.  Preliminary results

A qualitative paper describing one school’s process toward becoming trauma-informed to better serve their growing refugee population was recently published by the British Columbia Teachers of English as an Additional Language (BC TEAL) Journal.  The paper describes how ARC concepts provided a foundation in supporting their refugee student’s.
